I was searching the web today to get some ideas for this weeks blog and I ran across an interesting article named "10 Other Uses For Beads. There were the usual things people do with beads...coaster, straps....but one really caught my eye. Artist Devorah Sperber created a amazing piece titled "Transporter: Kirk and Spock Beaming-In" with 100,000+ loose beads. There are days I sit and for hours trying to figure out what to make with my sweet treasures in front of me and I usually end up with a very nice necklace with matching errings and am usually very proud of my creation. Then I see something like this....and my little creation feels more like childs play. But then I realized that my creations are just as special in their own way...they are mine and I did them with my own two hands. But, I do aspire for greater things...maybe one day, I'll have a display to show off at a museum!
